Information Management Alert & Warning Systems Website
Welcome to the Information Management Alert & Warning Systems (IMAWS) Website!
The IMAWS Section provides all Information Technology, Alert and Warning, and
Communications Services to the Division and is made up of the following three
elements:

The Communications element maintains all Division two-way radio and alert &
warning systems, including the Emergency Alert System (EAS), National Warning
System (NAWAS), Alaska Warning System (AKWAS), FEMA National Radio System (FNARS),
and the Alaska Land Mobile Radio (ALMR) system equipment.

The Computer/Networking element maintains all Division computer, network,
and server hardware and software.
-
The Application/GIS element maintains all Division database applications and
GIS/mapping capabilities.
