IMAWS
Information Management Alert & Warning Systems
The IMAWS Section provides all Information Technology, Alert and Warning, and Communications Services to the Division and is made up of the following elements:
- The Communications element maintains all Division two-way radio and alert & warning systems, including the Emergency Alert System (EAS), National Warning System (NAWAS), Alaska Warning System (AKWAS), FEMA National Radio System (FNARS), and the Alaska Land Mobile Radio (ALMR) system equipment.
- The Application/GIS element maintains all Division database applications and GIS/mapping capabilities.
