This past weekend the Special Olympics of Alaska (SOAK) hosted their annual downhill ski and snowboard events at Hilltop Ski Area on the Anchorage Hillside off of Abbott Loop Road.  Communicators of the 49th Military Police Brigade provided support by transporting and operating the Field-Mobile Microwave Public Address System.  Setup occurred on Friday, March 10th, and operations were conducted all day Saturday, March 11th, and through mid-afternoon on Sunday, March 12th, with teardown after the event.

This is the third year that the 2nd Battalion communicators have assisted in SOAK annual activities.  COL. Craig Bledsoe, MAJ. David Stevens, and SFC Finn Rye participated in this years activities.
