2005 November Southeast Storm Photos

       Between November 18 and 26, 2005 , a strong winter storm with high winds and record rainfall caused widespread coastal flooding, landslides, and wind damage in Southeast Alaska from Haines in the north to Sitka in the south.  Public infrastructure, commercial property, and personal property damages were reported in the metropolitan areas and boroughs of Juneau, Haines, and Sitka, as well as in smaller villages and communities of  Hoonah and Pelican.  The Cities and Boroughs of Juneau, Haines, and Sitka have each signed local disaster declarations and requests for State Individual, Public, and Small Business Assistance for response and recovery from this storm.  Hoonah and Pelican have requested State assistance
