Kids Line Up for Santa Wainwright, Alaska – Children of Wainwright village smile anxiously as they stand in line for their chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year marks the 51st anniversary of Operation Santa Claus, an Alaska National Guard program that delivers school supplies, presents, and Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus to rural villages across the state. This year Operation Santa Claus is visiting Wainwright, Togiak and Kotlik via C-130 Hercules aircraft.
