297th Support Battalion Soldiers Welcomed Home FORT RICHARDSON, Alaska –Silver Star recipient Spc. Veronica Alfaro, B Company, 297th Support Battalion, Alaska Army National Guard, is welcomed home by parents Tina and David Alfaro, who flew in from California to meet their daughter, who was deployed to Iraq for six months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
