Nearly 180 Alaska Army National Guard Soldiers Welcomed Home FORT RICHARDSON, Alaska –Spc. Richard Stelzer from Fort Wainwright holds onto his son Ryan Stelzer while looking lovingly at his wife Vera Stelzer after being released for the day at the National Guard Armory on Fort Richardson, April 24. Steller has been deployed since October 2007 in Iraq with Bravo Company, 297th Support Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
