The Farewell Before the Flight
Tech. Sgt. James Zagorski, a life support technician, spends some final moments with his four-month-old daughter Callie and wife Alicia at Elmendorf’s Joint Mobility Center. Zagorski will leave his wife, daughter, and four-year-old son, Silas (not pictured) for approximately 60 days while deployed to Afghanistan. Zagorski’s job is ensuring that his fellow deployers’ protective and lifesaving equipment is properly maintained.
