Alaska Army National Guard Honors Soldiers Home from Deployment
FORT RICHARDSON, Alaska – Command Sgt. Maj. Mallie Hall, of Eagle River, stands at attention while his daughter, Ruth, 6, and son, Emmett, 8, place their hands over their hearts during the playing of the National Anthem at the Freedom Salute Ceremony March 1 at Buckner Physical Fitness Center on Fort Richardson. Mallie was deployed with the Alaska Army National Guard’s 3rd Battalion, 297th Infantry from July 2006 to October 2007 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
