Office of Homeland Security
Exercise Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Exercise Team
Mission: The Exercise Officers develop and assist exercise programs in Alaska guided by the Three-Year Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Plan which encompasses all levels of government and private organizations. The Exercise Section shall also be aware of exercises initiated by other agencies within Alaska.
We continue to work toward reducing Alaska’s vulnerability to terrorism, and minimize the loss of life or damage to critical infrastructure, and recover from attacks if they occur.
Vision of Success: A successful future is a state prepared for all hazardous emergencies with a reduced vulnerability to acts of terrorism.
Exercises are to improve individual, organizational, and community performance throughout the disaster cycle: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
We appreciate any information regarding exercises, local, State, federal, or private to keep our team informed.
