CAMP DENALI, Alaska --- The Department of Military and Veterans Newsline is now up and running at 428-NEWS (6397) and will be updated periodically each day.
To continue providing the media with the latest available Y2K information, the Joint Information Center (JIC) is collocated with the State Emergency Coordination Center (SECC) at Camp Denali on Fort Richardson. JIC representatives are currently available 24 hours a day through Jan. 3, 2000.
Public information briefings continue to be held at 9am on Dec. 31, Jan. 2, and 3. On Jan. 1, the briefing will be at 11am. Any members of the media who plan to visit the SECC or attend briefings must coordinate with the JIC for escort.
