Alaska Governor Meets with Purple Heart Veterans ANCHORAGE, Alaska –Governor Palin visits with veterans who have received the Purple Heart Medal, at VFW Post #10252 in Mountain View, Anchorage, on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008. Palin signed Senate Bill 216, authorizing part of the ALCAN highway to be included in the Purple Heart trail.
