You may be eligible to receive
Subsistence Fishing Disaster Assistance*
IF
You were a subsistence user of Yukon River
drainage salmon stocks in 1998 who caught or received less than half the salmon you or
your family usually eats because of the low salmon runs
AND
You are a resident of one of the following
communities whose salmon stocks were subjected to state regulatory restrictions on
subsistence salmon fishing in 1998 due to extremely low runs:
Alakanuk, Alatna, Allakaket, Anvik, Arctic Village, Beaver, Bettles, Birch Creek,
Central, Chalkytsik, Chevak, Circle, Eagle, Eagle
Village, Emmonak, Evansville, Fort Yukon, Galena, Grayling, Holy Cross, Hooper Bay,
Hughes, Huslia, Kaltag, Kotlik, Koyukuk, Manley Hot Springs, Marshall/Fortuna Ledge,
Minto, Mountain Village,
Nulato, Pilot Station, Pitka's Point, Rampart, Ruby, Russian Mission, Scammon Bay,
Shageluk, Sheldon Point, St. Mary's, St. Michael,
Stebbins, Stevens Village, Tanana, Venetie, Wiseman, or a
resident along the Yukon and Koyukuk rivers.
This assistance will provide funding for:
Food (Food Stamp eligible items)

application
